Music Nurtures the Soul
Music inspired my entire generation to motivate for social and political causes. Religion in that day used music to proselytize their doctrine or to bring sinners to either a state of euphoric bliss or repentant sorrowful remorse.

Creating a Blog of Distinction
Blogs are a “dime a dozen” as they say. However, blogs of real distinction are rare. To create a blog of distinction, strive for both style in design, imagery and content.
The above award was gifted to one of my blogs The Midnight Writer, I am showcasing it here as a secondary “thank you” to Trapped in The Office and its authors Katy and Ryan.
It is my feeling that I have not actually lived up to the tag Brillante Weblog and definitely not to owning a Blog of Distinction. This is an exploration in that realm and an attempt to teach others who want to share in the adventure.
The spelling above is either an oversight or a play on words. Brillante is not brilliant, so I intend to use a dictionary to check both spelling and definition in order to make that “distinction”.
What is the first element in creating a blog of distinction?
Through experience, I have found that the most important part of a blog is the title and the concept behind the title. Ask yourself, “How is the theme presented?”. A subtitle supports the title while giving a brief description of the blog’s theme.
The second element is the theme of the site or the page?
Layout, fonts, images, logos and colors are everything in complementing or supporting the topic of a blog. In creating a blog of distinction, the concept is the same with additional elements that show elegance, formality, pizzazz or finesse. The language needs to be a scale up from every day language speaking to an audience with a higher education level.
Class defines the stature of a blog, believe it or not.
- Vocabulary level and sentence structure is a primary requirement for proper blog layout.
- Topics are another top level requirement to keeping the reader interested in content worthy of reading.
- Themes need to match the content. Images in a post should be related to the content.
- Color themes that are easy on the eye matter. Choosing a color theme that is elegant goes a step further. Understanding culture and class is mandatory for creating blogs of distinction.
- Style and fashion has its place in professional blogging. If you have no background in this area, then research, study and practice.
- Create a practice blog.
- Review other blogs to grow in understanding of blog style, themes, stature. Become familiar with the mundane versus the spectacular.
- Using proper vocabulary is the number one rule in class etiquette.
- Dress the blog with creative informative entertaining content accessorized with images that accentuate the message.
Themes and Templates are a major decision in creating a blog of distinction.
What message do you wish to convey?
- Information
- Story
- Personal blog
- Company blog
- Social Blog for Society in Royal Status
- Fashion or Design
- Educational with tutorials in mind.
